Entry Rules and Guidelines (for both prizes)

  1. The competition is open to individuals, formal or informal partnerships (including University teams and research groups), and to registered companies from around the world.
  2. Only 1 (one) entry can be submitted per entrant, via the online submission form. An entry must be fully submitted before the deadline to be considered in the competition
  3. All accepted submissions must be relevant ideas which apply to sustainable urban design. The following target areas are examples of factors to consider:
    • Green energy for grid, housing etc.
    • Water resource, treatment
    • Waste recycling
    • Recreational spaces
    • Greywater processing, Rainwater collection, blackwater processing infrastructure
    • Greenhouses and aquaculture
    • Neighbourhood production of non-renewable hydrocarbon wastes [paper, wood, plastics, etc.] into synthetic gas and biochar
    • Public transport innovation
  4. Entries must be completed and submitted via the online form only. Repeat entries from multiple accounts shall be disregarded.
  5. Entries shall be accepted from 9th January to 29th May 2012.
  6. Any Intellectual Property associated with products and ideas entered in the competition shall remain the property of the individual, partnership or organisation from which they originate.
